About Me
Natalie Wurmel is a Colorado based creative with an education in Fine Arts, Branding and Advertising. With extensive travel experience and a lifestyle living abroad as a freelance artist, she is passionate about life. Her blend of creative and postive energy, branding expertise, and worldly perspective powers her to create in conversation with her spirit.
Wurm started playing around with her creative outlets in later adolescence. Her first intentional drawings and paintings were gifts for friends and family on holidays. She was always interested in standing out. This was obvious in the way she dressed and behaved from a young age – lots of energy, bright colors, big bows, silly makeup, mismatched thigh-high socks… she also craved to see this in her environment- colorful houses, street art, loud expressions, unique outfits, passionate people with passionate life styles… She has always held a desire for life to look full of life and energy.
Her artwork was originally inspired by this energy of urban lifestyle. Dabbling in a range of materials, Wurm creates with oil paint, acrylic paint, paint pens, airbrush, fabricpaint, spray paint and most recently, tattoos. The evolution of her work is building a new union of what she finds most interesting: human connection and unforeseen miracles.
WurMagic is a brand that holds space for Natalie Wurmel’s creations. The name compliments her own last name as well as her core belief that we are all magic. Magic meaning when we count our miracles, we experience more of them. Magic in when we ‘trust the process’ we’re often surprised the result is better or more involved than we could’ve imagined. Despite life’s roller coaster of ups and downs, there is something magical about the bigger picture; the way things align and having trust in co-creation. Somehow, someway, when we pay attention, there’s always a connection. She wants her brand to inspire trust and peace for our experience is chaotically, emotionally, amazingly magical.
